VIII.  One plane of this squadron made a visual reconnaissance of Ocean and Nauru Islands.  Weather between Ocean, Nauru, and Tarawa was poor but over the enemy islands was C.A.V.U.  No enemy activity was observed but meager heavy inaccurate AA was encountered from both islands.

IX.  All materiel functioned satisfactorily.
